ACM SIGGRAPH Pioneers

Traditionally, the group hosted private receptions featuring keynote speakers, but as of 2025, the Pioneers Featured Speaker session is now part of the official SIGGRAPH schedule. This year, Ed Catmull, a key figure in the field, joins a prestigious lineup that includes Alvy Ray Smith, Douglas Trumbull, Donna Cox, Ken Perlin, James D. Foley, and Andries van Dam.
Computer Animation Festival
The SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival is an Academy Award® Qualifying Festival, with the Best in Show short film earning this recognition. The festival showcases storytelling in computer animation, VFX, advertising, cinematics, real-time graphics, simulation, and scientific visualization through its celebrated Electronic Theater and Animation Theater screenings.
